Roger Guérard – President Sea Island Marine Engineering


Mr. Guérard is well established in marine community over the last 25 years.  He was the Manager of Naval Architecture for McDermott International overseeing all floating assets of the company including new ship construction, major modifications, dry docking, and repairs.

Critical loadouts, heavy lifts, and offshore operations procedures were developed by his department.  Offshore operations were monitored in real time with updates provided.


Vessel construction experience includes Austal USA participating in the handover of LCS-2 to the US Navy, resolving construction issues, sea trials, remediating corrosion and construction concerns in the field to ABS rules and customer satisfaction.  He also supervised construction of LCS-4 and the first JHSV vessel.


As Vice President of Engineering and Operations for Resolve Marine Group he Supervised various salvage projects worldwide providing engineering support and managing financial cost for each job.


Mr. Guérard has an extensive mooring background and was the Lead Mooring and Installation Manager for Conoco Belanak FPSO and LPG FSO.  He also served as a Mooring and Installation Manager with Aker Marine Contractors designing and installing several deep water moorings, subsea terminals, participated in several SPAR hull projects including Crazy horse, Boomvang, Nansen, Diana, Bonga, and GUPCO Ras-Shukheir SBM.
